RSLC Statement: Kansas Republicans Expand Supermajorities in State Legislative Chambers

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Republicans expanded their supermajorities by netting five seats in the legislature, re-emphasizing Republicans’ firm control of the statehouse in Topeka.

“Kansas voters have seen the failures of Democrats in Washington D.C. and made a strong statement that Kansas will not fall victim to their destructive agenda,” said RSLC President Dee Duncan. “The people of Kansas trust state Republicans to deliver commonsense solutions to strengthen the economy, keep communities safe and make Kansas a more competitive destination for businesses. The RSLC congratulates Kansas Senate and House Republicans for expanding their supermajorities, and we look forward to seeing the conservative movement in Kansas continue to grow.”

Earlier this year, the RSLC released a memo detailing the plan to defend our Republican majorities nationwide, with the Kansas House and Senate being listed as key targets.
