The republican state leadership committee works tirelessly to recruit, train, and support strong republican candidates for state office.

Our Mission

The Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) is focused on one goal: winning.

We are the largest organization of Republican state leaders in the country and the only national committee whose mission is to elect Republicans to multiple down-ballot, state-level offices in all 50 states. The RSLC  works  to recruit and elect Republicans to state legislatures and to the offices of lieutenant governor, secretary of state, and statewide agriculture official. Through our Judicial Fairness Initiative,  the committee also works to elect conservative judges to state courts.

What we’ve achieved

  • After the 2022 election, the RSLC and its caucuses boasted 58 legislative chambers, 25 lieutenant governor seats, 28 secretaries of state offices, and all 12 elected agriculture officials.

  • In October 2021 we created the Right Leaders Network to redouble the committee’s long-standing efforts to do our part to grow the Republican Party from the ground up with more women and minority candidates and elected officials. The Right Leaders Network was a sweeping success in 2022, as the RSLC spent $5.3 million to elect a record-setting 769 women and minorities to state offices.

  • Since its formation, the Judicial Fairness Initiative has raised and spent more than $29 million in states across the country, including Arkansas, Illinois, Louisiana, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and more.

  • In the 2021-2022 election cycle alone, RSLC spent a record $45+ million, directly contributing to Republican victories across the country.

  • In 2021, the RSLC flipped seven seats in the Virginia House of Delegates from blue to red to recapture control of the chamber, flipped Virginia’s lieutenant governor’s office by electing Winsome Sears, flipped eight seats in the New Jersey legislature, and held a Pennsylvania Supreme Court seat for Republicans.

  • In 2022, the RSLC net-gained 35 legislative seats, secured 7 new supermajorities, flipped Nevada’s lieutenant governor’s office by electing Stavros Anthony, and scored critical judicial wins that will stop Democrats’ ‘Sue until it’s Blue’ judicial gerrymandering scheme.
