The republican state leadership committee works tirelessly to recruit, train, and support strong republican candidates for state office.

Our Mission

The Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) is focused on one goal: winning.

We are the largest organization of Republican state leaders in the country and the only national committee whose mission is to elect Republicans to multiple down-ballot, state-level offices in all 50 states. The RSLC  works  to recruit and elect Republicans to state legislatures and to the offices of lieutenant governor, secretary of state, and statewide agriculture official. Through our Judicial Fairness Initiative,  the committee also works to elect conservative judges to state courts.

What we’ve achieved

  • After the 2024 election, the RSLC and its caucuses boasted the success of our robust early and absentee voting program, which proved to be a difference maker in races decided by razor thin majorities in key battleground states like Pennsylvania and Michigan.

  • In October 2021 we created the Right Leaders Network to redouble the committee’s long-standing efforts to do our part to grow the Republican Party from the ground up with more women and minority candidates and elected officials. The Right Leaders Network spent nearly six million on these candidates resulting in over 1,000 victories nationwide by women, minority and veteran candidates.

  • Since its formation, the Judicial Fairness Initiative has raised and spent more than $29 million in states across the country, including Arkansas, Illinois, Louisiana, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and more.

  • In the 2023-2024 election cycle alone, RSLC spent a record $49 million, directly contributing to Republican victories across the country.

  • In 2023, the committee's innovative efforts to target low propensity GOP voters boosted turnout and prevented Democrats from obtaining a 45-55 House of Delegates and a 17-23 Senate. That year, Republicans won 13 districts that President Biden won in 2020 and seven districts that the congressional Democrat candidate won in 2022.

  • In 2024, the committee achieved historic victories by flipping control of the Michigan House chamber, breaking the Democrat trifecta in the Minnesota House, and maintaining control of the Pennsylvania Senate. The RSLC net-gained 59 legislative seats secured 3 new supermajorities and secured crucial state supreme court victories in Ohio, Montana and Texas.
