RSLC Announces New Round of Candidates in ‘2021 Virginia Candidate Spotlights’ Series

Washington, DC — The Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) today announced a new round of candidates for its “2021 Virginia Spotlight Candidates” series. The RSLC is proud to support these Republican spotlight candidates, who are fighting to expand opportunity in Virginia and push back against the failed policies from Democrat-controlled Richmond.

The slate of candidates running for the House of Delegates demonstrate the RSLC’s commitment to expanding the future of the party with candidates that have deep ties to the communities they represent. Virginia’s Republican statewide ticket already includes an entrepreneur and political outsider candidate for governor, a Black Jamaican American and veteran candidate for lieutenant governor, and a Hispanic candidate for attorney general. It will be strengthened by the 23 women, 8 minorities, 20 veterans, 18 young Republicans, and 35 business owners running for the House of Delegates.

Lawrence Mason — House District 79 

Lawrence served in the US Navy for eight years and continues to serve as a Navy reservist. He’s a volunteer first responder and member of the Virginia Emergency Management Association, Virginia Citizens Defense League, and Norfolk area Navy Sailors. As a veteran and community leader, Lawrence will provide the leadership necessary to champion conservative values, limit big government overreach, and support first responders who keep Virginians safe. 

Joe McNamara — House District 8 — @JoeForVA

Delegate McNamara is a small business owner and and job creator. He is also a husband and father of five. While serving in the House of Delegates, he helped implement the largest tax cut in Virginia in thirty years. Delegate McNamara knows the importance of safe communities, fiscal responsibility, and protecting students from radicalized school curricula. 

Anne Ferrell Tata — House District 82

Anne is an award-winning medical sales representative, author, patent holder, and triathlete. She serves on the iFoster Board, which helps provide resources to foster children across the county. She’s a member of Christian Women in Media. Anne is also a wife, mom of four, and grandmother of one. Anne will work to support law enforcement, create opportunities small businesses and families, and make Virginia a better place to live, work, and raise a family. 

Michael Webert — House District 18 — @MichaelWebert

Delegate Webert is a farmer, small business owner, husband, and father. Michael also serves on the Rappahannock River Basin Commission where he has been a champion for the Chesapeake Bay. In 2015 he was awarded the Chesapeake Bay Foundation Legislator of the year. Michael is a proven leader who will push back against Democrat-controlled Richmond to increase small business development, cut taxes, and will be a voice for conservative family values.
