RSLC Statement: North Carolina Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler Wins Re-Election

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Last night, North Carolina Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler overcame over $2 million in Democrat outside spending to secure re-election for a sixth consecutive term. Following Troxler’s victory, the Republican State Leadership Committee released the following statement:

“North Carolina re-elected a strong leader in Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler who will continue to fight for the agriculture community all across the Tar Heel State,” said RSLC President Dee Duncan. “Commissioner Troxler’s experience and understanding of the agriculture industry makes him fit to serve in Raleigh and move North Carolina forward. Congratulations to Commissioner Troxler for overcoming the unprecedented spending and running a campaign that resonated with North Carolina voters.”

Earlier this year, the Republican State Leadership Committee released a memo on Troxler’s opponent Sarah Taber that exposed her controversial policy positions, her questionable experience, the amount of outside spending she garnered, and pointed out her inconsistent messaging.
