NEW RSLC Memo- Strong Opportunities for Republican Gains in New Jersey- Again
Washington D.C.- The RSLC released a memo highlighting how Republicans in New Jersey are in a strong position statewide to build off their success from 2021 and flip more seats in the state legislature this November.
Working with several in-state groups and Grassroots Targeting, the RSLC found that Governor Murphy and state Democrats’ agenda is a turnoff to New Jersey voters, who are turning to Republicans for refuge.
The results from the project also found:
Not only is Joe Biden unpopular in New Jersey, he is wildly unpopular in the legislative districts most likely to be competitive in 2023.
Overburdensome Democrat policies continue to be incredibly effective for Republican messaging, making voters more likely to seek out a Republican candidate.
The Democrats’ overreach against the use of natural gas is an effective messaging strategy in every major swing district.

“New Jerseyans realize the one-party rule in Trenton has failed them as their policies have led the Garden State to have an unfriendly business climate, egregious tax hikes, and soaring crime. Voters are ready to elect more state Republicans who will be laser-focused on commonsense policies and stripping away Democrats’ overbearing power of governing.” -RSLC Deputy Executive Director Edith Jorge-Tuñon
