RSLC ANNOUNCES NEW ROUND OF CANDIDATES IN ‘2021 VIRGINIA CANDIDATE SPOTLIGHTS’ SERIES
Washington, DC — The Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) today announced a new round of candidates for its “2021 Virginia Spotlight Candidates” series. The RSLC is proud to support Republicans like these who are fighting to expand opportunity in Virginia and push back against the failed policies from Democrat-controlled Richmond.
The slate of candidates running for the House of Delegates demonstrate the RSLC’s commitment to expanding the future of the party with candidates that have deep ties to the communities they represent. Virginia’s Republican statewide ticket already includes an entrepreneur and political outsider candidate for governor, a Black Jamaican American and veteran candidate for lieutenant governor, and a Hispanic candidate for attorney general. It will be strengthened by the 23 women, 8 minorities, 20 veterans, 18 young Republicans, and 35 business owners running for the House of Delegates.
Les Adams — Virginia House District 16 — @LesAdamsVA
Delegate Adams is an attorney and former small business owner. He is a member of the Virginia State Crime Commission, the Virginia Criminal Sentencing Commission, and the Committee on District Courts. He is an active member of the Chatham Rotary Club and a deacon at the Chatham Baptist Church. The husband and father of 2 children, Delegate Adams is a principled conservative who will continue to fight to support law enforcement, lower the cost of living, and implement responsible fiscal policies.
Jason Ballard — Virginia House District 12 — @JasonBallardVA
Jason served two combat tours (Iraq and Afghanistan) in the 10th Mountain Division as a U.S. Army Judge Advocate General (JAG). He was awarded a Bronze Star for his service and is currently serving as a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves. Jason is also a Pearisburg Town Councilman, a civilian trial lawyer, and an active community member. Jason will work to promote economic growth and improve healthcare for Virginia veterans.
Steve Pleickhardt — Virginia House District 50 — @DrSteveVA
Dr. Steve is a small business owner who practices dentistry in Bristow. He’s served as president of his Homeowners Association for the last 16 years. As a business owner for twenty years, Dr. Steve has first-hand experience with the issues facing Virginia’s economy. He will work to create jobs, lower taxes, and expand healthcare options.
Margaret Ransone — Virginia House District 99 — @MargaretRansone
Delegate Margaret Ransone is a mother, wife, and businesswoman. She works at her family-owned business and served on the executive council of the Virginia Seafood Council and the Virginia Marine Products Board. Delegate Ransone is involved within her community, where she volunteers with local schools. She will ensure that families’ and businesses’ voices are heard in Richmond.
