RSLC ANNOUNCES NEW ROUND OF CANDIDATES IN “2021 NEW JERSEY CANDIDATE SPOTLIGHTS” SERIES

Washington, DC — The Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) today highlighted a new round of candidates in its “2021 New Jersey Candidates Spotlights” series. The RSLC is proud to support candidates like these, who are fighting to revive New Jersey’s struggling economy and push back against the failed policies from Democrat-controlled Trenton.

Antwan McCllellan — New Jersey Assembly District 1

Assemblyman McCllellan is a real estate agent and Confidential Assistant / Personnel Director for Cape May County Sheriff’s Department. In 2019, he flipped his District 1 seat from Democrat to Republican. In the Assembly, he serves on the Appropriations, Homeland Security and State Preparedness, and Tourism, Gaming, and the Arts Committees. He’s a former Ocean City Councilman and Ocean City School District Board member. Assemblyman McCllellan volunteers for South Jersey’s Field of Dreams, which provides the opportunity for special needs children to participate in sports programs. Assemblyman McCllellan will continue working to reduce taxes, invest in South Jersey health care, education, and infrastructure, and revitalize New Jersey small businesses.

Patricia Johnson — New Jersey Assembly District 15

Patricia is a successful small businesswoman, entrepreneur, and mother. She previously worked as a critical care nurse at Fox Chase Cancer Institute and served as Vice President of Mobile Solutions International, a medical start-up that champions the system she created for her husband’s battle with cancer. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Patricia formed a team of thirty community volunteers to produce face masks and distributed over 7,000 masks to first responders and nursing homes. She’s the recipient of AFSCME New Jersey’s Everyday Heroes Award. Patricia’s unique experience will be a guiding light as she works to continue her long career of fighting for those in need, shrinking government, bringing families back to New Jersey, and investing in the future by investing in children.

Chris Auriemma — New Jersey Senate District 36

Chris Auriemma is a United States Army Veteran who served twenty-three years, including two combat tours in Iraq. He’s a firefighter, husband, and father of two. Chris has spent most of his adult life fighting for American freedoms, and he will take that fight to Trenton to advocate for smart fiscal policies, push back against extreme policies, and ensure students receive a quality education.

Steven Oroho — New Jersey Senate District 24 — @StevenOroho

Senator Oroho has represented the citizens of District 24 for four terms. Senator Oroho first ran for public office in 2001, winning a seat on the Franklin Borough Council. He then served on the Sussex County Freeholder Board in 2005. Before he entered public office, Senator Oroho had extensive professional experience in the finance departments of top New York City firms. In the State Senate, Senator Oroho sits on the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee and the Senate Economic Growth Committee. He also serves as the Senate Minority Budget Officer. Oroho has helped craft almost every major piece of tax reform legislation enacted in New Jersey over the past decade. He will continue fighting to make New Jersey a more affordable state and invest in New Jersey’s children.
