RSLC ANNOUNCES NEW ROUND OF CANDIDATES IN “2021 NEW JERSEY CANDIDATE SPOTLIGHTS” SERIES

Washington, DC — The Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) today highlighted a new round of candidates in its “2021 New Jersey Candidates Spotlights” series. The RSLC is proud to support candidates like these, who are fighting to revive New Jersey’s struggling economy and push back against the failed policies from Democrat-controlled Trenton.

Brandon Umba — New Jersey Assembly District 8 

Brandon Umba is a third-generation volunteer firefighter. He serves as the Township Administrator for the Town of Lumberton and is a member of the local zoning board. He’s previously worked for former U.S Congressman Jon Runyan as a constituent services representative. Brandon is ready to improve New Jersey by lowering the cost of living, supporting first responders, and pushing back against the harmful policies of Trenton Democrats.

Bina Shah — New Jersey Assembly District 14 

Bina Shah is a real estate broker, accountant, and business owner. Her extensive financial background and personal experience running a business will allow her to advocate for conservative, pro-growth policies in Trenton that will make it a more affordable, business friendly state. As an immigrant from India, she knows the American Dream is attainable if the right policies are put in place and we invest in the future. 

Brian Rumpf — New Jersey Assembly District 9 — @9thDistrictNJ 

Assemblyman Rumpf was first elected in 2003. He’s the founder and chairman of the Great Bat Regional Police Athletic League, and he authored the law establishing the “Hooked on Fishing — Not on Drugs” program run by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. Assemblyman Rumpf is the former Mayor and Committeeman of Little Egg Harbor Township. As a father, Assemblyman Rumpf is committed to ensuring children receive a great education and reforming the school funding formula. He will continue to work to curb the Democrats’ tax and spend agenda. 

James Holzapfel — New Jersey Senate District 10 — @JimHolzapfel  

Senator Holzapfel was first elected to the Assembly in 1994 and the Senate in 2012. He has dedicated his tenure to addressing New Jersey’s drug epidemic and maintaining the health of Barnegat Bay. After graduating law school, Senator Holzapfel was admitted to practice law before the United State Supreme Court and the New Jersey Supreme Court. He is now a senior managing partner at a law firm and previously served as the Ocean County Prosecutor. He recently co-sponsored a bill that was later signed into law that will allow for more seniors and residents with disabilities to qualify for assistance with prescription drugs. Senator Holzapfel will continue to advocate for law and order policies that make New Jersey safer and ensure the greatest generation is not forgotten.
