Republican Secretaries of State Committee (RSSC) Announces 2025 Executive Committee

WASHINGTON, D.C.  –– In 2024, voters reaffirmed their trust in Republican Secretaries of State by re-electing incumbent Christi Jacobsen in Montana and electing Denny Hoskins in Missouri, Kris Warner in West Virginia, and re-electing incumbent Deidre Henderson in Utah as Lieutenant Governor, a position that also performs the duties of Secretary of State. Following these victories, the Republican Secretaries of State Committee (RSSC), a caucus of the Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC), announced its executive leadership committee for 2025. While no Secretaries of State will be on the ballot in 2025, the upcoming year, 2026, will feature 26 elections for the office of Secretary of State nationwide. This new RSSC executive leadership committee will support candidates in these races who aim to make voting easier and prevent election fraud. Additionally, they will work to counter attacks from national liberal organizations that have raised unprecedented amounts of money to influence these critical positions.

"Building and maintaining trust in our electoral process is my highest priority as Secretary of State for Mississippi," said Mississippi Secretary of State and RSSC Chair Michael Watson. "Despite ongoing attacks from the left regarding our common-sense election reforms, we stand firmly with the voters. Our mission is to make voting more accessible while safeguarding against fraud. It is a profound privilege to lead this distinguished committee. I am eager to work alongside my fellow Republican secretaries of state to secure our elections and uphold the integrity that every voter deserves."

"Transforming our election process to ensure it is both accessible for voters and secure against fraud remains a top priority for me as Secretary of State," said Montana Secretary of State and RSSC Vice Chair Christi Jacobsen. "We know that the left will pour millions into efforts aimed at reversing our progress across the nation, but we are fully prepared to stand against their attempts. It is an honor to collaborate with my colleagues on this committee as we strengthen our commitment to safeguarding the integrity of our elections."

“I am truly fortunate to collaborate with colleagues committed to enhancing the security of our elections and making voting more accessible,” said Republican Secretaries of State Committee and Tennessee Secretary of State and RSSC Finance Chair Tre Hargett. “While we face a significant challenge in countering the Democrat money machine, I firmly believe that our talented team can mobilize the necessary resources. Together, we will stand firm against the left’s advances to ensure our elections are conducted safely and fairly.”
