Republican Secretaries of State Committee (RSSC) Announces 2024 Executive Committee Leadership Team
WASHINGTON, D.C. –– In 2023, voters demonstrated their continued trust in Republican Secretaries of State by reelecting incumbent Republican Secretaries of State Michael G. Adams in Kentucky and Michael Watson in Mississippi by strong margins. Coming off these triumphant victories, the Republican Secretaries of State Committee (RSSC), a caucus of the Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC), today announced its 2024 executive leadership committee. This year, seven secretaries of state will appear on ballots in Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, Oregon, Vermont, Washington, and West Virginia. This new RSSC executive leadership committee will be at the forefront of supporting candidates in these races and fending off attacks from national liberal organizations and wealthy coastal elites who have raised record-breaking amounts of cash to overhaul elections and support candidates that align with their extreme agenda.
“As chairman of the RSSC, I am fully committed to building public confidence in our elections. That means electing principled Republican leaders who will keep our state’s elections free and fair,” said Ohio Secretary of State and RSSC Chair Frank LaRose. “Our 2024 executive committee is composed of Secretaries who stand for election integrity, and as a team we are laser-focused on thwarting Democrat efforts to hijack our election systems for political gain. Ohio has long been a leader in this space and I am honored to have the trust of my counterparts in other states for this important mission.”
“As Mississippi’s secretary of state, it has been a top priority of mine to maintain the trust of my constituents in our voting process,” said Mississippi Secretary of State and RSSC Vice Chair Michael Watson. “While national liberal organizations are going to pour millions of dollars into the seven secretary of state races on the ballot between now and November, we must do all we can to elect Republicans who will hold the line to protect the integrity of our elections.”
“Our executive committee is made up of outstanding election experts who understand that legal and fair elections are the backbone of our country,” said Montana Secretary of State and RSSC Finance Chair Christi Jacobsen. “We cannot yield secretary of state offices to Democrats, which is why we are up for the challenge to raise more resources than ever before to elect more Republicans and stop national liberal organizations from trying to buy their way into having a firm grip on our state’s election systems.”
