NEW AD: RSLC’s Judicial Fairness Initiative Launches Seven-Figure Paid Media Campaign Against Liberal Susan Crawford in Wisconsin Supreme Court Race

Releases new ad highlighting what Crawford's election could mean for Trump's agenda on crime and immigration

Washington, D.C.– The Republican State Leadership Committee's Judicial Fairness Initiative (JFI) is launching its first 2025 Spring Election ad in Wisconsin's State Supreme Court race featuring Brad Schimel and Susan Crawford. This 30-second spot encourages voters to reject Crawford, highlighting what her election to Wisconsin's highest court could mean for President Trump's agenda on crime and immigration. The ad warns that a Crawford victory would ensure a liberal majority on the court, which could have lasting implications for justice and safety in their communities.

The new ad will be part of JFI's proposed $2 million investment in spending on television advertising, a statewide mail initiative, and a strong digital effort to engage voters across Wisconsin. This campaign is part of a broader commitment that JFI announced earlier this year to support conservatives in key state supreme court races nationwide in 2025-2026.

"The stakes in Wisconsin have never been higher. If Susan Crawford wins a seat on the high court in Madison, the far-left majority will undoubtedly endorse the lenient, soft-on-crime policies that have been pushed by liberals for far too long," said RSLC-JFI President Edith Jorge-Tuñón. "We need principled conservative justices who will uphold the law and work to keep Wisconsinites safe by taking a firm stand against crime. Brad Schimel is the candidate who embodies that commitment. Pushing back against the far left's dangerous policies starts with supporting Brad Schimel on April 1st."

TRANSCRIPT

NARRATOR: “President Trump was elected to stop illegal immigration and deport violent, illegal immigrants with criminal records. Trump is keeping his promise; the far left couldn’t beat him last time, so they’re trying again. Susan Crawford would guarantee a far-left majority on Wisconsin’s highest court to defend Democrat priorities to protect sanctuary cities, stop deportations of illegal immigrants, and let criminals roam free; that’s crazy. Susan Crawford is wrong for Wisconsin.”

Background

In a memo to donors earlier this year, the RSLC’s Judicial Fairness Initiative stressed the importance of state supreme court races in 2025-2026, outlining its strategy and commitment to winning these contested races. The memo also noted how state judges and justices often rule on whether to implement critical legislation passed by state lawmakers along with highlighting how state supreme courts are becoming the final arbiter of the state and congressional redistricting process.

ABOUT JFI

Led by Barack Obama and Eric Holder, Democrats are fighting to transform the traditional role of the judiciary from an arbiter of the facts and the law to an advocate for the liberal political agenda. The RSLC’s Judicial Fairness Initiative (JFI) is the only national political effort focused exclusively on halting this transformation by protecting the election and selection of state court judges. JFI provides critical information about judicial candidates in an environment where voters are routinely left in the dark about a candidate’s qualifications for the bench. JFI fills that gap by providing the facts and analysis voters need to cast informed votes for judicial office. Since its formation, the Judicial Fairness Initiative has raised and spent more than $29 millionand engaged in states across the country, including Arkansas, Illinois, Louisiana, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and more.
