In Closing Message in Democrat-Led Target States, RSLC Stresses Importance of Ending One-Party-Rule
WASHINGTON, D.C. — In its closing message to voters in three of its Democrat-led target states, the Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) and its affiliated PACs are urging them to elect Republicans for state legislature to put an end to the one party-rule that is threatening their financial and physical security.
In a slate of new digital ads -- which will be backed by separate five-figure buys in Colorado, Maine, and Nevada – the committee emphasizes how the Democrats in these state legislatures are the ones driving the disastrous policies in their states. The spots follow recent RSLC battleground polling showing voters in the three states want their state legislatures to push back against their Democrat governors.
Only 42% want the state Senate in Colorado to support Jared Polis’ agenda compared to 51% who want it to be a check-and-balance on his policies.
Only 41% want the state legislature in Maine to support Janet Mills’ agenda compared to 56% who want it to be a check-and-balance on her policies.
Only 39% want the state legislature in Nevada to support Steve Sisolak’s agenda compared to 55% who want it to be a check-and-balance on his policies.
“The people of Colorado, Maine, and Nevada continue to suffer from devastating Democrat-one party rule that has been a disaster for the financial and economic security of their constituents,” said RSLC President Dee Duncan. “With the outcomes of gubernatorial races in these states uncertain, it is all the more important that voters elect Republicans for state legislature who will prevent more radical liberal policies from being signed into law.”
