Republican-Led States Produce Strong Employment Numbers Countering Biden’s Failing Economic Agenda
Washington, D.C. – Joe Biden’s costly economic agenda has thrust this country into a recession and has families and small businesses feeling the pain from sky-high inflation. While Democrats in Washington are doubling down with a $20 billion tax hike on middle class Americans, Republican-led legislatures are acting as a check and balance to their costly agenda by fighting to lower costs and creating economic opportunity in their states. The report from the Bureau of Labor and Statistics released today shows how Republican-led states have been able to outpace their Democratic counterparts and offset the damage from Biden’s failing national economy.
July’s state economic data shows:
8 of the 10 states with the lowest unemployment rates have Republican-led legislatures
6 of the 10 states with the highest unemployment rates have Democrat-led legislatures
8 states with Republican-led legislatures hit record-low unemployment in July
“As working families and small businesses continue to be crushed by President Biden’s recession and out of control inflation, they know the Democrats’ agenda has failed them,” said RSLC Communications Director Andrew Romeo. “State Republicans, however, continue to deliver for their constituents and have their economies in the best possible position to counteract the destruction Biden has done to the nation. Americans headed to the polls in November know that state Democrats have rubber stamped D.C.’s agenda every step of the way and will be turning to state Republicans who are committed to cutting red tape and putting money back into the hands of hardworking Americans to create economies that work for everyone.”
