Virginia Republican Nominee for Lieutenant Governor Winsome Sears Joins RSLC's Podcast to Discuss Expanding the Republican Party and Next Week's Election
Washington, DC — Building off last week's Right Leaders Network Panel discussion on how to grow the future of the Republican party with more women and minority candidates and elected officials, the RSLC today released a new podcast episode of “It’s Bigger Than You Think,” featuring an interview with Republican nominee for Virginia Lieutenant Governor, Winsome Sears. During the conversation, Sears discusses her historic bid to become the first female lieutenant governor in Virginia, the importance of expanding the conservative coalition, and her plans to revitalize Virginia's economy, keep families safe, and return control over education back to parents.
Winsome Sears is the embodiment of the Right Leaders Network's effort to promote candidates who better represent their communities. She has a proven track record of successfully reaching out and breaking through with non-traditional Republican voting blocs. Sears became the first Republican to win a minority-majority delegate district in the commonwealth since 1865. As a marine and small business owner, she is a strong candidate and RSLC PAC is proud to have directly supported her by contributing over $300,000 to her campaign. During the interview, Sears delves into how others can replicate her success by broadening the appeal of the Republican party and how she will work to get Virginia back on the right track after years of failed far-left governance from Democrat-controlled Richmond.
“It’s Bigger Than You Think,” which is released bi-weekly at 2 PM ET and is available on Spotify, Anchor, iTunes, and Youtube, contains in-depth discussions with current and former state Republicans, national thought leaders, and top political strategists about the outsized impact state government has on the everyday lives of all Americans.

HIGHLIGHTS:
Winsome Sears on potentially becoming the first female lieutenant governor in Virginia:
“I didn't get in the race to make history, in the same way I didn't get in the race before to make history. Winsome Sears on the importance of growing the the tent of the Republican Party:
“We have the better ideas. We believe in capitalism that it works best for all of us. The other systems, the economic systems don't. People are running away from societies, from cultures, and from countries that employ those other types of 'isms... We have to grow the party or we won't win future elections and we have the better ideas and we'll talk some more about that.”
Winsome Sears on how Republicans will get Virginia back on track by cutting taxes and promoting school choice:
“We're going to hit the ground running, and number one we are going to ensure that business taxes will be suspended for a whole year... Next we will be suspending the gas tax....Then we're going to bring in charter schools, innovative charter schools especially for the more economically disadvantaged...”
