RSLC Statement: Florida Republicans Roll to Supermajorities in State House and Senate
WASHINGTON, D.C. — In a stunning affirmation of the state’s conservative agenda, Floridians tonight voted to give Republicans supermajorities in the House and Senate.
“The days of Florida being a swing state are over,” said RSLC President Dee Duncan. “Floridians have seen the results of Republican-controlled trifecta in Tallahassee – more freedom, less restrictions, and a better way of life – and they like what they’ve seen. Republicans in the Legislature have gone above and beyond to combat Joe Biden’s failed liberal agenda by supporting law enforcement, advancing school choice, protecting small businesses, and cutting taxes. The RSLC was proud to invest in state legislative races in Florida and we’re excited to see these new GOP supermajorities continue to work with Governor DeSantis to keep Florida free.”
The RSLC invested $1.2 million in state legislative races in Florida this cycle.
