RSLC Launches “2021 New Jersey Spotlight Candidates” Series, Announces First Round Spotlights
Washington, DC -- The Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) today launched its “2021 New Jersey Candidate Spotlight” series—a weekly initiative dedicated to highlighting some of the Republican candidates on the ballot in the New Jersey legislative races this November. The announcement comes on the same day The Wall Street Journal noted that Democrat-led New Jersey currently ranks number one for highest taxes in the country, writing, “The real problem is that the state is dominated by public unions that work with politicians to tax, spend and elect, and then do it again.”
New Jersey Democrats have used their full control of Trenton over the last four years to increase taxes and diminish opportunities for families and businesses. What’s worse, they’ve presided over a failed pandemic response that locked small businesses out of business, ignored the science and kept schools shuttered, and are responsible for the unnecessary deaths of seniors in nursing homes. By contrast, the first round of candidates that the RSLC is highlighting today features proven fighters that are pushing back against this radical agenda and advocating for policies that benefit all New Jerseyans.
“Socialism starts in the states, and New Jersey is proof of it,” said RSLC President Dee Duncan. “Thank goodness we’ve recruited a strong slate of candidates that will push back against the disastrous policies from Governor Murphy that Democrats in the legislature have supported every step of the way. We look forward to highlighting throughout the coming weeks this diverse group of men and women who will help us make gains in New Jersey so we can begin the process of healing the most-taxed state in the nation and restore fiscal sanity in the Garden State.”
