RSLC ANNOUNCES NEW ROUND OF CANDIDATES IN “2021 NEW JERSEY CANDIDATE SPOTLIGHTS” SERIES
Washington, DC — The Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) today highlighted a new round of candidates in its “2021 New Jersey Candidates Spotlights” series. The RSLC is proud to support candidates like these, who are fighting to revive New Jersey’s struggling economy and push back against the failed policies from Democrat-controlled Trenton.
Erik Simonsen — New Jersey Assembly District 1
Assemblyman Simonsen has been serving in the Assembly since 2020, successfully flipping the district from Democrat to Republican in the 2019 General Election. He has served on the Lower Township City Council and is the former Mayor of Lower Township. Assemblyman Simonsen taught special education for 18 years. Erik will continue working to reduce taxes, invest in South Jersey healthcare, education, and infrastructure, and revitalize the economy.
Victoria Flynn — New Jersey Assembly District 13 — @FlynnForNJ
Victoria is a practicing attorney and serves as President of the Holmdel Board of Education, overseeing the historical transformation of school facilities and implementation of new programs to enrich children’s learning experience. She advocated for tech investments to create future ready school districts, which allowed for the district to easily transition to remote learning and focus resources and efforts to get children safely back in school. She will be a champion for education and work to lower New Jersey’s highest in the nation taxes.
Harold Wirths — New Jersey Assembly District 24 — @Space_Wirth
Harold is a former small business owner, Sussex County Freeholder, and Commissioner of New Jersey Labor and Workforce Development. As commissioner, he implemented an aggressive fraud-fighting initiative to save taxpayers millions of dollars. He is member of the NRA, Association of N.J. Rifle and Pistol Clubs, and the New Jersey Outdoor Alliance. As a husband and father, Harold will strive to create more opportunity for families and businesses.
Ed Durr — New Jersey Assembly District 3 — @EdwardDurr1
Ed is a lifelong New Jersey resident, a father of three children, and grandfather of six grandchildren. Before going into politics, he worked as a Commercial Truck Driver for 25 years. As a political outsider, Ed will fight to make New Jersey a more affordable place to start a business and raise family by combatting leftist policies that raise taxes and destroy the economy.
