RSLC Announces New Round of Candidates in “2021 New Jersey Candidate Spotlights” Series

Washington, DC — The Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) today highlighted a new round of candidates in its “2021 New Jersey Candidates Spotlights” series. The RSLC is proud to support candidates like these, who are fighting to revive New Jersey’s struggling economy and push back against the failed policies from Democrat-controlled Trenton.

Catherine Barrier – New Jersey Assembly District 17

Catherine is a former Franklin Councilwoman, realtor, teacher, and dedicated volunteer to at-risk members of the community. She is fed up with Governor Murphy’s negligence in exposing nursing home residents to Covid and inability to adequately help struggling New Jerseyans throughout the pandemic. In addition to holding the Governor accountable, Catherine will prioritize lowering property taxes, cutting government, and improving New Jersey’s schools and infrastructure.   

Ronald Dancer – New Jersey Assembly District 12
Assemblyman Dancer is an Army Veteran and former Mayor of Plumsted representing New Jersey’s 12th District. He is a dedicated volunteer serving on the Ocean County Lands Trust Fund Advisory Committee, the Ocean County Senior Citizens Advisory Council, and the Ocean County Board of Social Services — where he is Chairman. Assemblyman Dancer will continue to fight for tougher sentences on crimes against veterans and aiding businesses impacted by Governor Murphy’s lockdowns.  

Vihal Patel – New Jersey Senate District 18

Vihal has been serving his community his entire adult life as a combat veteran and firefighter. As the father of two sons, he wants to ensure that our education system is free of political indoctrination and prepares students for jobs in the future. Vihal is focused on cutting wasteful spending and promoting pro-growth policies that encourage entrepreneurial enterprise and innovation.  

Jon Bramnick – New Jersey Senate District 21 – @JonBramnick

Leader Bramnick is a former college professor and Partner in a New Jersey based law firm currently representing New Jersey’s 21st Assembly District. He is an accomplished lawmaker and was awarded “Legislator of the Year” by the New Jersey Conference of Mayors and the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce. Leader Bramnick is committed to cutting property taxes and making New Jersey a safe and affordable place to raise a family.

Melanie McCann Mott – New Jersey Assembly District 18

Melanie is a realtor and mother of three currently serving on the South Plainfield Council. She stays involved with her community by volunteering with her children’s Parent Teacher Organization, lending her time to Habitat for Humanity, and is a member of South Plainfield Elks Lodge #2298. Melanie is focused on improving quality of life for New Jersey families by lowering astronomical property taxes and the cost of living.

Kevin Rooney – New Jersey Assembly District 40@KevinJRooney

Assemblyman Rooney is a lifelong Bergen County resident, a Managing Partner at HMS Global Holdings, and a father of four currently representing New Jersey’s 40th District. His charitable work includes establishing an endowment at William Paterson University and funding a non-profit culinary arts program. Assemblyman Rooney is focused on limiting Governor Murphy’s executive overreach and lowering taxes to ease the burden on small businesses.

John DiMaio – New Jersey Assembly District 23 – @JohnDiMaio2

Assemblyman DiMaio has been in public service for over 40 years and has worked his way from Councilman and Mayor of Hackettstown to now representing the 23rd District in the General Assembly. As the owner of DiMaio and Son Inc, a family-run general contracting business, he has directly felt the impact of Governor Murphy’s disastrous Covid response. Assemblyman DiMaio is determined to reduce income and property taxes to put money directly into the pockets of New Jerseyans.

Anthony Bucco – New Jersey Senate District 25 – @TonyBucco

Senator Bucco is a lifelong resident of Morris County, Partner at a New Jew Jersey based law firm, and volunteer firefighter currently representing the 25th District. He has led the fight against addiction by serving on the Governor’s Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse since 1998, founded Daytop New Jersey, a drug and alcohol rehab facility for teenagers, and has spearheaded the effort in Trenton to tackle the state’s opioid epidemic. Senator Bucco will continue to fight to cap and reduce property taxes and support law enforcement.

Iman Majagah – New Jersey Assembly District 35 

Iman is a Syrian immigrant living the American Dream as a social worker while raising her three kids with her husband. She is focused on lowering the cost of living and raising the quality of life for New Jersey families. Iman is focused on preparing our children for success by ensuring they receive a quality education and that recreational opportunities are available after school.
