Ahead of Confirmation Hearing, Agricultural Officials Endorse Brooke Rollins

Washington, D.C. Today, agricultural officials from across the country penned a letter to U.S. Senators John Boozman (R-AR) and Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) endorsing the confirmation of Brooke Rollins to serve as the 33rd Secretary of Agriculture. Rollins’ background in state government makes her a prime candidate to lead the United States Department of Agriculture and defend state and regional agricultural interests. The Republican State Leadership Committee’s (RSLC) Ag America caucus joins the agriculture officials endorsing Rollins’ nomination.

“Notable for us, Secretary-designate Rollins has had the unique experience of being on the frontlines and working in state government. Specifically, she served as deputy general counsel and policy director for Texas Governor Rick Perry. We are most fortunate to have a nominee for U.S. Secretary of Agriculture that understands the importance of a positive working relationship between state and federal government. Additionally, she has led two large public policy organizations, experiences of which have contributed to her qualifications to lead one of the largest federal entities in USDA,” wrote the agriculture officials.

About Ag America

Ag America, one of the four caucuses of the Republican State Leadership Committee, is the only national organization in the United States committed to supporting and electing independently-elected Republican agriculture officials in states across the country. Since 2019, Ag America has fought to protect the future of America’s agriculture industry through forward-thinking agricultural reforms that recognize the importance of our farmers to the U.S. economy. In addition, the advocacy of our Republican agriculture officials for free market policies helps strengthen both America’s farms and agribusiness as a whole. Republicans currently hold 12 out of 12 elected agriculture official offices.
