○      By placing it in one of your county’s secure drop box locations (which are required to have security cameras)

○      By hand-delivering it to your county’s Board of Elections Office

How do I vote by mail? - It is a two-step process. You must apply to receive a ballot by filling out the following form, CLICK HERE. The application must be printed, filled out, signed and a hard copy must be returned. You can either mail it to your County’s Clerk of Elections office, or you can hand-deliver it to your County Clerk of Elections office. CLICK HERE to find a full listing of Clerks’ offices.

I received my ballot. Now what? - After filling out, signing and sealing your ballot, you have three options to return it. You can mail your ballot, drop it off at one of your county’s secure drop box locations (which are required to have security cameras), or hand-deliver it back to your Board of Elections Office.

When is the latest I can apply to vote by mail? - If you’re sending your application by mail, your County Clerk’s office must physically RECEIVE (postmark dates don’t count) the application no later than 7 days before Election Day (October 31st). However, you can apply in-person for a vote-by-mail ballot up until 3P.M. the day before the Election (November 6th). In short…don’t wait. Fill out and return your application today.

When is the latest I can return my ballot by? - Your ballot will count so long as it is postmarked on or before Election Day (November 7th) or hand-returned to one of your County’s secure drop box locations, or your County Board of Elections by close of polls (8PM) on Election Day.

If I received a vote by mail ballot, can I still vote in person? - If you cast your vote by mail ballot, then no. However, if you lost your vote-by-mail ballot or choose not to utilize it, you can cast a provisional ballot at your early-voting polling place or Election Day polling place. However, your vote will not be counted on Election Day, it will be set aside and counted later to ensure that you did not previously return your vote-by-mail ballot.
