NEW RSLC Memo- Strong Opportunities for Republican Gains in New Jersey- Again

Washington D.C.- The RSLC released a memo highlighting how Republicans in New Jersey are in a strong position statewide to build off their success from 2021 and flip more seats in the state legislature this November.

Working with several in-state groups and Grassroots Targeting, the RSLC found that Governor Murphy and state Democrats’ agenda is a turnoff to New Jersey voters, who are turning to Republicans for refuge.

The results from the project also found:

• Not only is Joe Biden unpopular in New Jersey, he is wildly unpopular in the legislative districts most likely to be competitive in 2023.
• Overburdensome Democrat policies continue to be incredibly effective for Republican messaging, making voters more likely to seek out a Republican candidate.
• The Democrats’ overreach against the use of natural gas is an effective messaging strategy in every major swing district.
