The Republican State Leadership Committee has launched its new Election Protection Initiative, a nationwide effort designed to establish a clear election integrity framework for Republican secretaries of state and candidates running in 2026. With 26 secretary of state races on the ballot this cycle, the initiative will guide the Republican Secretaries of State Committee's (RSSC) engagement and support efforts by promoting four core principles: maintaining clean voter rolls, implementing voter ID requirements, increasing transparency through audits and observation, and strengthening ballot security and election administration safeguards.
Building on the RSLC's previous election integrity work, including its 2021 Commission to Restore Public Confidence in Elections, the initiative aims to promote secure, transparent, and accountable elections while increasing voter confidence in the electoral process. Through strategic communications, voter education, legal preparedness resources, and campaign support, the RSSC will assist Republican secretary of state candidates who align with these principles as the organization works to maintain and expand Republican leadership in state election administration offices nationwide.
