Ag America Announces 2026 Executive Committee & National Leadership Team

WASHINGTON, D.C.  –– As Republicans continue to hold every independently elected statewide agriculture office in the country, Ag America, a caucus of the Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC), today announced its 2026 Executive Committee and National Leadership Team as the caucus prepares for a critical election cycle ahead. The focus in 2026 will be on defending the 7 of 12 statewide agriculture offices up for election – Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Iowa, North Dakota, South Carolina, and Texas – and countering growing pressure from the Left’s regulatory and climate agenda. To ensure Republicans continue holding all 12 elected statewide agriculture offices, Ag America understands that early organization and disciplined engagement are essential.

“Agriculture is more than an industry; it’s the foundation of our economy and a critical part of our national security,” said Kentucky Commissioner of Agriculture Jonathan Shell, Chair of Ag America. “Heading into 2026, we face an important moment to defend these offices, champion policies that strengthen American farming, and ensure our farmers and ranchers can thrive. I’m proud to lead this talented team as we work together to protect this vital industry.”

“Our role as agriculture commissioners extends far beyond the farm,” said Louisiana Commissioner of Agriculture & Forestry Mike Strain, Vice Chair of Ag America. “We are stewards of an industry that supports millions of jobs and countless communities nationwide. In 2026, our mission is clear: protect Republican-held offices, advance common-sense policies, and make sure agriculture continues to grow and produce for the American people. I’m proud to work with this committee to make that happen.”

“The 2026 election cycle presents both challenges and opportunities for agriculture,” said Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig, Finance Chair of Ag America. “With seven offices on the ballot, we know that this year will require us to raise more resources than ever before. We cannot afford to cede these important offices to Democrats, and this committee continues to be committed to fighting for the agriculture community.”
