Washington D.C. — As primary elections in state legislative races conclude in Michigan tonight, Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) President Dee Duncan released the following statement:
“The Republican-led legislature in Michigan is the only line of defense against the failures of Joe Biden and Democrat-controlled Washington. As Michiganders continue to battle the highest inflation in 40 years, Republicans in the legislature successfully passed tax cuts and a rollback of the state’s gas tax to give Michiganders relief during these stressful times. Michigan Republicans will continue to fight back against the harmful Biden agenda, and the RSLC stands ready to invest the resources needed to ensure that Michigan’s Legislature stays in Republican control.”
Earlier this year, the RSLC named Michigan as a top defensive priority to where it will look to defend its Republican majorities in the state Legislature.
