What They’re Saying: The Republican State Leadership Committee’s Commission on Election Integrity Best Practices Report

Washington, DC — The Republican State Leadership Committee’s (RSLC) Commission on Election Integrity yesterday released a substantive report on best practices for making it easier to vote and harder to cheat. The report presents a sampling of state provisions and policies on election administration and integrity measures from both Republican and Democrat controlled states that are intended to serve as a roadmap to increase voter access and participation without sacrificing security, accountability, and transparency.

Here’s what the media and political influencers are saying about the commission’s work.

Fox News“The RSLC says their report’s intended to serve as a guidance for political leaders who are currently working to make changes in election laws in their respective states. The group says the statutes spotlighted in the report are aimed at increasing ‘voter access and participation without sacrificing security, accountability, and transparency.”’

Breitbart News: “According to the commission, the Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) this week released a comprehensive report on the best practices states can embrace to make it ‘easier to vote and harder to cheat’ in U.S. elections. The release of the report comes as radical Democrats in Congress continue the ‘For the People Act,’ which would strip states of their power to manage their own elections and implement basic election safeguards —  such as voter ID — effectively nationalizing the process.”

Fox News’ Paul Steinhauser: “First on @FoxNews – @RSLC commission on election integrity unveils  report showcasing legislative statues from states across the nation ‘that make it easier to vote and harder to cheat.”’

Senator John Cornyn: “Republican group spotlights state rules that make it ‘easier to vote and harder to cheat’”

Senator Marsha Blackburn: “Democrats in Washington want to make a bigger mess of our elections with H.R 1. State Republicans are fighting back with real solutions that make it easier to vote and harder to cheat.”

Senator Bill Hagerty“Americans have demanded more secure and transparent election processes. That’s exactly what we are fighting for.”

Congresswoman Ashley Hinson: “States should be proactively looking at ways to strengthen election security, as Iowa has already done well ahead of 2022. But Dems in Congress want to enact HR 1, a federal takeover of elections that would overrule state law & impose liberal voting practices nationwide.”

Former Speaker of The House Newt Gingrich: “.@RSLC’s Commission on Election Integrity just released its best practices for making it easier to vote and harder to cheat.”

Former NRSC Executive Director Kevin McLaughlin: “Just the latest example of the incredible work being done by the good folks at the @RSLC. Increased voter access and ballot integrity at the same time. What a concept!”
