Announcement Follows Latest Virginia Poll Showing Tied Generic Ballot and Republican Momentum in State Legislative Races
WASHINGTON – The Republican State Leadership Committee today announced that Vice President Mike Pence will join them to headline a GOTV rally in Virginia Beach next Saturday, November 2, in support of Virginia Republicans running in state legislative elections. The announcement comes as new polling from the Virginia Commonwealth University shows a statistical tie among Republicans and Democrats on the generic ballot ahead of the November 5 elections.
“Momentum in the commonwealth during this final stretch of the election season is fully on the side of Republicans, and Vice President Pence will help to carry the widespread grassroots enthusiasm right into Election Day,” said Austin Chambers, RSLC President. “Everything is on the line in these elections and Virginians are deciding that radical socialists have no place in the state legislature. Our message has resonated in every region of the commonwealth – Democrats’ has proven stale.”
