RSLC Announces New 2017-2018 Staff Hires

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) announced that Matt Raymer and Catherine Onnen are joining the committee for the 2017-2018 election cycle. Raymer will serve as the RSLC’s Vice President and General Counsel while Onnen will serve as the RSLC’s Finance Director.

“As we gear up for an election cycle where Republicans will be defending historic gains at the state level built over the last eight years, it’s important to have a team in place with the experience and insight needed to help us do just that,” said RSLC President Matt Walter. “We are fortunate to have Matt Raymer and Catherine Onnen joining the RSLC as we continue our mission of supporting Republican state-level candidates across the country. The RSLC has played a critical role in Republicans’ success at the state level in recent years, and adding seasoned legal and fundraising veterans like Matt and Catherine to our team will help to ensure that we are in a strong position to continue our winning strategy for the next two years.”

Matt Raymer, Vice President and General Counsel: Raymer joins the RSLC from the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), where he served as General Counsel for the 2015-2016 election cycle. Prior to the NRSC, Raymer served as outside counsel to the RSLC while an attorney with BakerHostetler in Washington, D.C. Originally from Los Angeles, CA, Raymer graduated from Dartmouth College and the University of Michigan Law School.

Catherine Onnen, Finance Director: Onnen joins the RSLC from the Seminar Network, where she served as Director of Fundraising Strategies. Prior to joining the Network, she served as Western Finance Director for the Marco Rubio for President campaign and immediately preceding, as Deputy Finance Director at the NRSC. A native of Thomasville, GA, and University of Georgia alumnus, Onnen began her Washington career with the Republican Governors Association and has also served in various philanthropy development roles.
