What inspired you to run for public office?
I was tired of watching people who did not understand healthcare making decisions or, at times, not acting when necessary reforms were needed. I also wanted to achieve proper medical tort reform in our state.
When AND WHY did you first begin to identify as a Republican?
I was inspired by President Ronald Reagan and his political ideologies during my youth. I became a registered Republican on my 18th birthday and have supported Republican candidates ever since then.
What are some of your top legislative priorities?
Medical tort reform, tax reform, improvement of access to healthcare through enhanced competition and increasing providers, and removing burdensome government regulations.
What is an issue you are hearing about from voters that you don’t think the media is talking enough about?
Diminishing access to providers (increased insurance costs, diminishing providers entering primary care or staying in primary care)
When you are not campaigning or at the state capitol what else do you like to do in your free time?
Gardening, spending time with family, and practicing medicine
If you could go back in time to any historical moment what would it be and why?
Resurrection of Jesus Christ
