The Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) today endorsed Tyrone-native David Jenkins, a retired U.S. Army Captain and pilot for the 101st
“Democrat Leader Bob Trammell has spent his career working to steer Georgia in the wrong direction by embracing policies that destroy jobs and raise taxes – and now Georgia Republicans have a candidate who’s finally going to send Bob packing,” said Austin Chambers, RSLC President.
“David Jenkins is the right man for the job. Jenkins is a modern-day American hero who has devoted his life’s work to keeping the women and men in his community safe and healthy. He has what it takes to strengthen opportunity and protect Georgians from harmful Democrat policies.”
David Jenkins currently serves as an air ambulance helicopter pilot for Coweta, Meriwether, and Troup Counties. Additionally, he is a farmer and owner of Jenkins Farms in Grantville. Jenkins is a U.S. Army veteran of 21 years, where he served multiple deployments and retired as a captain and pilot for the 101st
Airborne Division. He was deployed as a helicopter pilot to Kuwait during the invasion of Iraq in year 2000. Jenkins is also a former Clayton County policeman and former Georgia Forestry Commission wildland firefighter.
The RSLC has invested over $20,000 to support Jenkins ahead of the June 9 primary in Georgia. Jenkins is the best candidate to take on Democrat Leader Bob Trammell, who consistently votes against legislation to save Georgians’ taxpayer dollars.
