Committee invested over $60,000 to help elect Commissioner Leonhardt
WASHINGTON – The Republican State Leadership Committee released the following statement after Agriculture Commissioner Kent Leonhardt won reelection in West Virginia:
“A lifelong farmer, Commissioner Leonhardt knows what it takes to keep West Virginia’s agriculture community thriving,” said Edith Jorge-Tuñón, RSLC Political Director. “Commissioner Leonhardt works around the clock to protect the state’s agricultural business environment – it’s no surprise West Virginians were eager to reelect him.”
The RSLC was proud to spotlight Commissioner Leonhardt in our “2020 Candidate Spotlight” series and invested over $60,000 in his reelection bid. He is a longtime farmer who has lived on a farm that he began reviving in 1982. He served in the United States Marine Corps, where he retired as a Lieutenant Colonel after 20 years of service.
