WASHINGTON – The Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) released the following statement applauding the victory of Republican Adrian Dickey for the Iowa state Senate seat recently vacated by now-U.S. Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks:
“Congresswoman Miller-Meeks leaves big shoes to fill in the Iowa Senate, but the RSLC is proud to congratulate businessman Adrian Dickey on securing victory tonight,” said Dee Duncan, incoming RSLC President. “Republican legislators in Iowa work around the clock to best serve the communities they represent, and there is no doubt that Adrian Dickey will rise to the occasion. Adrian’s history of creating jobs, serving his community as a volunteer firefighter, and full commitment to lowering taxes makes him the best leader for the district.”
Adrian Dickey is a lifelong resident of Packwood and works for his family’s business, Dickey Transport, which his grandfather started in 1959. A graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, Dickey began washing trucks and sweeping floors and has risen to become the President of his family’s company. Adrian is an officer and member of the Packwood Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department and the Iowa Firefighters Association. He is the proud father of two children.
