WASHINGTON – The Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) today released the following statement after Christi Jacobsen secured victory in the Montana Secretary of State race:
“Christi Jacobsen knows elections are the core of Democracy, and she will faithfully abide by the Constitution and common morality to ensure Montanans have a secure and fair voting process,” said Edith Jorge-Tuñón, RSLC Political Director. “The RSLC is proud to add Christi Jacobsen to our ranks, and we are eager to work together in the coming years.”
Christi is a native Montanan, born and raised in Helena. Christi started her career in the telecom industry but has almost two decades of experience in leadership for state government. She currently serves as deputy secretary of state, making her prepared and ready to take over as Montana’s secretary of state. In her current role, she has led the implementation of efficiencies and tools utilized in the private sector, to reduce staff by a third, consolidate rent space from four locations to one and saved millions of dollars. She is currently invested in replacing an IT elections system that is 20 years old with a modern platform with improved security.
