WASHINGTON – Failed presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg has launched an independent Super PAC to buy elections in six states to include Michigan, Wisconsin, Florida, North Carolina, Arizona, and Pennsylvania. As one of the Left’s biggest spenders, Bloomberg publicly and unapologetically claimed credit for buying the Democrats’ U.S. House majority during a presidential primary debate, and he is not stopping there.
The RSLC released the following statement:
“Bloomberg may have failed to buy himself the presidency, but now he’s
turning his attention down the ballot – and that should alarm every Republican
in the country,” said
Austin Chambers, RSLC President. “He’s already
admitted to ‘buying’ the Democrats’ U.S. House majority and has a long track
record of trying to do the same in the states. We’ve seen it once, and we’ll
see it again – this time everything is on the line. Socialism is on the rise in
the Democratic Party and Bloomberg and his money are adding fuel to the fire –
every person in every corner of the country should be terrified.”
Bloomberg’s groups collectively spent more than $3.1 million to flip the Virginia legislature blue in 2019, have already started spending more than $1.25 million in key target states this year, and is planning to spend $8 million in just Texas to impact state and federal races this fall.
