WASHINGTON (May 13, 2019) – The Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) today announced its selection of David Abrams to serve as the organization’s new communications director.

“Dave brings with him invaluable political communications experience from competitive races in tough battleground states. He will be a tremendous asset to our team as we continue the work necessary to elect Republican leaders across the country and prepare for redistricting,” RSLC President Austin Chambers said of the announcement.

Abrams joins RSLC from Americans for Prosperity, where he served as communications director and spearheaded marketing campaigns across the organization’s political and policy-focused engagement. Abrams has also held leading communications posts in competitive state races, including in Virginia for Republican gubernatorial nominee Ed Gillespie and in New Hampshire for Governor Chris Sununu. A native of New Jersey, Abrams also served former Governor Chris Christie in a variety of communications roles on his reelection campaign, in the Governor’s Office in Trenton, and during the 2016 Republican presidential primary.
