Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s Record of Defending the Constitution Good for Voters

WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump’s celebrated pick tonight of rule of law Judge Brett Kavanaugh to fill the seat of retiring Justice Anthony Kennedy is a win for voters and the Constitution. Liberal socialists are now assured that future Courts won’t accept their bizarre activist arguments- like Obama and Holder’s failed “Right-To-Win” argument in the Gill v. Whitford redistricting case.

“President Trump’s selection of Brett Kavanaugh tonight is a clear victory for voters and keeping constitutionally protected rights, like accountable legislative map drawing, closer to the people.  The President’s choice sets in place a legacy that will force liberals, like Obama and Holder, to focus their litigation strategies on redistricting into state level courts.  Liberals’ far-fetched and unconstitutional ‘efficiency gap’ argument was rejected by the Supreme Court just weeks ago, and this type of unfounded judicial activism will continue to fail with rule of law Justice Brett Kavanaugh on the Court thanks to President Trump,” said Matt Walter, President of the Republican State Leadership Committee.

About the RSLC
