RSLC Salutes Munson’s Victory Tonight in Minnesota
Under Speaker Kurt Daudt’s Leadership, House Chamber Remains at Historic High of 77 Seats
WASHINGTON, D.C. (February 12, 2018) — Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) President Matt Walter issued the following statement on tonight’s legislative victory in Minnesota:
“Speaker Kurt Daudt deserves immense credit for his leadership in maintaining the House’s historic high of 77 Republican representatives, with Jeremy Munson’s victory tonight in House District 23B. In a state carried by Hillary Clinton in 2016, tonight’s election again proves Republicans are still winning in blue states with the right candidate and a winning agenda.”
The RSLC invested $100,000 with the Minnesota Jobs Coalition to help secure tonight’s GOP victory.
ABOUT THE RSLC
The Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) is the largest caucus of Republican state leaders in the country and the only national organization whose mission is to elect Republicans to multiple down-ballot, state-level offices. Since 2002, the RSLC has been working to elect candidates to the offices of lieutenant governor, secretary of state, state legislator, the judiciary and other down-ticket races. After Election Night 2017, state-level Republicans maintain 67 of 99 legislative chamber majorities in red, purple and blue states, hold 31 lieutenant governor seats, and control 30 secretaries of state offices.
