WASHINGTON, D.C.  — The Republican Legislative Campaign Committee (RLCC), a caucus of the Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC), announced today that Louisiana Senate Majority Leader Sharon Hewitt will serve as the committee’s chairwoman for the 2021 election cycle.

“After state Republicans’ smashing success in the 2020 cycle, I am energized and ready to keep supporting principled conservative leaders in the next cycle,” said RLCC Chairwoman and Louisiana Senate Majority Leader Sharon Hewitt. “Make no mistake, we absolutely still have our work cut out for us. The RSLC and RLCC have worked tirelessly over the years to recruit and train the best leaders across the country, and I’m proud to lead the movement for state legislators this cycle.”

Leader Hewitt has played a key role with the RLCC, the Future Majority Project (FMP), Right Women, Right Now (RWRN), and previously served on the RLCC’s Executive Committee.

“Leader Hewitt’s business instinct, genuine kindness, and devotion to electing and supporting strong conservatives make her the ideal chair of the RLCC,” said incoming RSLC President Dee Duncan. “You won’t meet a single person who doesn’t agree that Leader Hewitt’s energy and effectiveness are unmatched, and I’m confident she is prepared to meet 2021 with the same force we did in the previous cycle.
