Chambers: “It’s All On The Line in 2020”

RSLC President Joins Sean Spicer and Lyndsey Keith on Newsmax's Spicer & Co.

WASHINGTON – Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) President Austin Chambers recently sat down with former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer and Lyndsey Keith for Newsmax’s Spicer & Co. to discuss the importance of winning in the states during the 2020 elections. Highlights:

Races in the States Matter: “When you boil this down, it’s not all that complicated. It’s a decade of power and a decade of dominance that’s truly on the line. It’s going to be determined by what happens in the state-level elections in 2020. There is a reason that Barack Obama and Eric Holder are putting their entire focus right now on state-level elections and pumping in millions of dollars to elect Democrats in the states. They know that’s their way to a decade of power in Washington.”

Taking Back the U.S. House: “When you look across the states at what the Democrats and Republicans are targeting, there are about a dozen states that are going to determine which party has the majority in Congress…if Republicans hold it, [the U.S. House] could swing back to the Republicans. If the Democrats hold it, they could pick up another 70 seats in Congress based on public estimates.”

Winning With Trump: “It’s all on the line in 2020 with redistricting…if President Donald Trump is successful, we are going to be successful because in the target states there are 127 seats that Donald Trump won in 2016 that are currently held by Democrats. That’s our entire focus in 2020, winning those seats that Donald Trump should win again in 2020.”
