The U.S. House of Representatives is voting on the Financial CHOICE Act today, which replaces Dodd-Frank. House Republicans have been using financialchoice.gop to promote the bill.


RealClearPolicy featured an op-ed by RSLC President Matt Walter encouraging the Supreme Court to summarily reverse the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin’s decision on Gill v. Whitford. The case has the potential to completely alter the way political districts are drawn, and the lower court’s decision “bucked 30 years of Supreme Court precedent.”

The Kansas City Star reported that Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach launched his campaign for governor.

NJ.com reported that Ileana Schirmer won the GOP nomination for the New Jersey District 14 Senate seat.

TAPinto reported that Kelly Langschultz won the Republican nomination for the District 38 New Jersey Senate seat.

The New York Times reported that New Jersey Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno won the Republican nomination for governor. “We will make New Jersey better for everyone together,” she said during her acceptance speech.“If we elect Phil Murphy governor of the State of New Jersey, the only person who will be able to live in the State of New Jersey will be Phil Murphy.”
